Gamecheck has detected 5,000 suspicious websites hosting counterfeit casino games in Brazil during the first six months of 2026. The platform's database now contains over 8,000 fake casino games, with more than 6,800 tied to the Brazilian market.
Record Detection Rate and Market Growth
In a single month, Gamecheck uncovered 3,800 fake online casinos, marking the highest monthly count recorded across all countries. The licensed segment continues to expand alongside these findings. Brazil's regulated iGaming market generated approximately $7B in GGR in 2025, with projections reaching nearly $10B by 2029. Licensed operators paid an estimated $290M in taxes in January 2026 and created roughly 15,000 high-paying jobs.
Verification Tools for Operators
Gamecheck notes that counterfeit sites share common visual traits, including short numeric domains, similar layouts, and repeated design templates. The company offers licensed operators a verification mark that links a domain to a blockchain record and a QR code, allowing users to confirm game authenticity independently.
