The National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) has endorsed the government's new advertising regulations for betting operators announced on Thursday. The association simultaneously urged authorities to intensify enforcement actions against unauthorized gambling platforms.
The Ministry of Finance introduced the updated advertising framework, which mandates risk warnings for all betting campaigns. These regulations are currently pending publication in the Federal Official Gazette. ANJL confirmed that legally operating companies subject to oversight by the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets will adhere to the new requirements without operational disruption.
Enforcement Against Unauthorized Operators
The association emphasized that the new advertising standards must be paired with stricter oversight of illegal entities. These unauthorized platforms operate without federal authorization and fail to contribute tax revenue. Furthermore, they do not comply with advertising regulations or implement necessary player protection mechanisms.
ANJL highlighted that illegal sites neglect critical safeguards, including anti-money laundering protocols, restrictions on underage access, and measures to curb compulsive gambling. The association stated that advertising campaigns violating current regulations harm the industry's image. Consequently, these violations should face strict enforcement measures to establish a sustainable market environment.
